User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA downtown New Albany,Ind. Icon: A small little diner with ten stools actually. Where people are not really customers so much as they are an adopted family. The food is top notch and as fellow customer said once "I didnt come here for fast food. If I wanted that I would have went to a substandard fast food place. I came to enjoy my food and the atmosphere." The owner knows bout everyone that comes in by name and if they come enuff she will. There's even that little touch of handing out birthday cards that not only her and the employees sign but the customers as well. It is kinda like the show cheers except instead of beer there's food. The place has been running been running since its doors opened up in the 50s. If someone wants a good meal with good atmosphere at anytime of the day or nite, then little chef in new albany is the place to go. It may be the little chef but it has a big heart.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI go there every chance I get.: It is an old fashion diner with nine bar stools. Almost everyone knows eachother. It might be crowed some of the time but it is one big happy family. The food is better than anyother restaurant and the services is one of a kind. The waiters/servers know just about everyone who comes in the diner. They have your drink ready when you come in the door. They are as friendly as can be. They have a variey of food, from old fashion hamburgers to chicken cordonbleu to t-bone steaks and serves breakfast 24/7. Always have speacials, soups, and desserts and all of the desserts are hand made by the owner. It is in the heart of New Albany, Indiana and open 24/7.
