   good chats at the Spoon: For years the Runcible was the spot to drop in, hang out and always find a friendly conversation, the place to find out what's happnin' in Bloomington while having a choice of excellent coffees and teas served without plastic and along with a slice of their homemade cakes. Now that I don' live there I miss it and on any return visit make a beeline for the "Spoon", as it's called.

   The food isn't worth it: I've tried this restaurant many times over the past few years. While the food is usually pretty good, I've found that it isn't worth it because of the really bad service. The staff is very slow, even just to get water and menus to the table, or to take an order, and not friendly. It's a shame, I'd love this place if only they took the trouble to train their servers. Instead, there are many other excellent restaurants in Bloomington with prices just as good, great food, and much better service.

   Great food, slow service: I love the breakfast here. Can't beat the apple-smoked bacon and eggs benedict. On the weekends, breakfast can be quite slow, so don't plan on getting in and getting out quickly. But I still highly recommend the Runcible Spoon for breakfast and coffee.
