This is a nice, homey, down-right good pub. Authentic in it's decor and food. The owner is a quick, witty gentlemen with a very humorous Irish accent that made me giggle in delight when he laughed. The service was quick and freindly. A true delight when in Bloomington.
I strongly urge you not to go to this restaurant. The food is way overpriced and the atmosphere is nothing to write home about. The owner of this restaurant and especially his son in particular are very very rude, they do not deserve your money! Mcguire's Irish pub in Pensacola FL. and Destin FL. are so much better in terms of atmosphere, delicious food, great service and good beer/drink specials. If you want to have a beer and some great pub grub in Bloomington, check out Opie Taylor's...They are literally right down the road from Irish Lion and their staff are very friendly and accomodating.
Nice establishment, great service on the first go. Pulled a pint a little slow but make up for in the service. Meals are great priced and the beer is fresh.
