Jim has had his shop open since 1975,he has a very large clientele,He is a one man show, with answering the phone ,working on the many bikes he has in there for repairs and taking care of walk-in customers, just not enough hours in the day,so yes you can take your bike to another bike shop and have it done in a day or two by mechanics that most likely you will never even talk to let alone build a relationship with and not to mention pay a higher price,or go to someone that personly works on your bike and is good at what he does, and rates are great, considering he is so busy he could be charging alot more for his time that is in demand by so many bike owners.
We just bought an older bike(27 yrs old)from Jim and he was fast to fix the things that needed to be done on top of replacing brakes that wasnt part of the purchase agreement so rightfully he could have charged us extra. But he is a honest person willing to go the extra mile for his customers.
*Not trying to be harsh Paul but that was an unfair review you left on Jim and people that do choose to go see Jim will find he is trustworthy and professional, and worth the wait time to have their bikes repaired weather its a brand new Harley or a 1981 Suzuki..
Poor to say the least !!
Left Bike there for 3 weeks and it was never touched !
Unless you have a Harley or are a "buddy" take it else where.
And its a shame to, Jim is a well of knowledge on older bikes.
It just seems that he has no interest in doing anything with the older bikes. ( Older = 10 yrs or more )
