I have eaten there many times over the last five years. The food is very good but occassionally seems over-priced for the serving size or quality.
I do enjoy their Italian Sodas which are worth the price.
I am disappointed that the owners/employees often refuse to answer questions about their products... including what some of the ingredients are because of some potentially LIFE THREATENING FOOD ALLERGIES my daughter and I have.
I understand they make their living off the taste of their recipes but revealing whether a single ingredient is used WILL NOT allow anyone to replicate the recipe.
I have also tried to get baking supplies when they did sell them and was often treated almost with a hostile attitude, like I was the competition.

I will continue to visit this resturant when those I am with request it. I will order what I am reasonably sure what is in the recipe or have a simple drink and eat elsewhere. But I will not go on my own accord.

The BEST place to eat in Vincennes, by far! I have been there several times and have never been let down. The food is amazing, the owners are very friendly, the service is great and speedy, and the restaurant is clean as can be! A wonderful place for those who like soups, sandwiches, salads and fabulous desserts! Everytime a friend comes from out of town, I take them there and they LOVE it as well! Unfortunately, they are only open during lunch hours, or I'd be there a lot more!

Pea-fections: My husband and I visited Pea-fections for lunch, Thursday, and I was pleasantly surprised. My initial impression of the place was favorable-in that it is a relaxing environment that would allow one to linger over a good meal. I was not to be disappointed. The hostess, who greeted us was genuinely warm and friendly. She showed us to our table right away, and while she was prompt, did not seem rushed or hurried in any way. The table was nicely sat with water glasses, flatware, and folded cloth napkins. The menus provided to us were clean and well organized, as each dish had full and accurate descriptions. Our waitress, greeted us with the daily specials, sat down a carafe of ice water, and solicited our drink orders. Upon returning with our drinks, she took our lunch orders and easily answered our questions about menu selections. She seemed to be highly knowledgeable about the food in which she was serving us, and was able to recommend substitutions for some of the meat-based items on the menu, per my request.

After much deliberation, I ordered the 'veggie pita' and a bowl of tomato basil soup. My husband, ordered the house special: a croisant sandwich which included turkey and hard-boiled eggs. The presentation of the food was exceptional: each garnished, and well portioned on the plate, along with a generous serving of seasonal fruit. I noticed that the 'veggie pita' was somewhat dry, a problem that could have been corrected by offering more of the cucumber sauce that accompanied the pita itself. The tomato basil soup, however, was simply bursting with flavor! The soup arrived to the table piping hot, and was served with crackers. The fruit, not to be outdone by the pita, was fresh and juicy. It provided a perfectly delightful end to my meal, and was very cleansing to the palate.

My husband also enjoyed a large bowl of broccoli-cheese soup, the house favorite. He was impressed with his selections as well as mine, for he sampled from my plate, as well, throughout the meal. The sweetest surprise to me, and a new experience for my husband, came from the availability of hazelnut syrup for my Sprite. The syrup was gratuitous, and plentiful: brought out in tiny carafes that provided for two or three servings.

In all, it was a very pleasant, laid-back dining experience. The waitstaff is very friendly and highly attentive. The cleanliness of the restaurant extends even into their restrooms. The check was reasonable, and an extremely good value for both the product and the service. We were highly impressed and will definitly return. Next time, however, I am going to save room for dessert.
