What a wonderful surprise-hidden from the highway on the downtown square-the people at the hotel sent us to this wonderful little restaurant. The small wood panelled dining and fireplace are beautiful and relaxing, and the servers were very pleasant to deal with. It was the last place you'd expect to find creole seafood of this caliber. My husband had a cajun seassoned red snapper fillet that had this terrific crabmeat stuffing and a shrimp and crab butter cream sauce over the top. I had the filet-which is what I almost always order at nice places- and it was as tender and flavorful as any I have ever had. They had homemade salad dressings and honey wheat bread served warm alongside. Prices of meals ranged from 13.99 to 24.99 but that includes the soup, salad, bread, entree, and a baked potato! It also has a cozy little bar. My husband called it "a jewel in a cornfield!" We'll definately go back on our next trip through Kentland.
