I wouldn't recommend this place. We are Italian and were happy to see homemade pasta on the menu but it was very disappointing. Mushy and tasteless. We didn't see any of the bad behavior mentioned in the last review but there were plenty of "F"bombs coming from the bar area and I think we were the only customers in the place. Even my drink was bad. I ordered a kamikaze and whatever I got had tequila in it. Not a kamikaze. I do have to say that the soups were very good though.
Me and my wife used to frequent this place and the restaurant the only complaint we had ws that it reeks of cigarette smoke no matter what time of day you enter. My wife and I visited late on a weekend and the music was too loud there was a disgusting display by a woman flashing top and bottom and the management seemed accepting of this while she was playing with her fully exposed breasts at the bar amongst other things. The kitchen smelled of marijuana in the latter hours with a few bar customers gaining access to the kitchen area with drinks in hand. I feel uncomfortable with ordering food from a kitchen that turns into an after hours club, how can that be clean? My wife and I had to leave. If they call a borderline strip club that allows drug use upscale dining count me out! We will not be returning. I donât know what happened, the management seems to have either switched over or decided to leave all morals behind. Hopefully they can get this in order we used to enjoy coming here it is disappointing to see this happen to a place, especially, when Algonac is lacking many choices for good food and delighful atmosphere for couples and family.
I've been to Capri multiple times as it is just around the corner and probably has the best non bar food in Algonac. Sadly just the other day I had a horrible experience there. My Fiance ordered lamb chops medium. They came and she cut in to very RARE meat. No big deal, we are easy going. Problem is it was 20 minutes until we had any interaction with our waitress to see how our food was. Unacceptable when you have ordered meat cooked to order. When she finally came back to our table I was done eating and we asked for a box so we could take the lamb home and cook it so my now starving fiance could eat. She got us a box and brought us the bill which shockingly had the uneatable lamb chops still on it! I promptly asked to speak to a manager, explained the situation to her, and asked to have them removed from the bill. Unfortunately, she was rather unwilling to make this happen, and eventually developed a very bad attitude and displayed poor customer service skills before FINALLY removing them from my bill in what seemed like a childs tantrum.
I truelly feel for the chef at Capri as the food is usually excellent, especially for the price, but the service and layout of the restaurant tarnish that.

Just a quick question? If the lamb chops were inedible why did you still want to take them home? I fully understand management being unwilling to remove the food from your bill if you are taking it home with you. If it was that bad, you would not ask for a box to take it home!
