    this place is great I used to go there before purdue games when i was a kid and it hasn't changed except for it's now non smoking.

    no real atmosphere: well, you can sit in a smokey room, but there are no truly crazy people who frequent this place...

    Famous local landmark with great food.: Probably the oldest burger joint in the area. Classic style diner with counters and stools. No tables. Breakfast specials served round the clock. Serves both typical and specialty sandwiches, including a steakburger topped with peanut butter. Considered by some to have the best root beer in town. I'm partial to the root beer floats. Popular hangout for the local college crowd as it's within reasonable walking distance from campus.
