I had the misfortune to go to the Fogcutter on Decembeer 18th with a group of seniors. The chair I was attempting to use was broken -when the seat felt "spongy" I tried to regain my balance. Unfortunately I couldn't, the caster folded under the chair and I fell to the floor. Due to my age (77 years) and my knee surgeries (both knee replaced) I was unable to get up by myself, two of the waitpersons put me on my feet again. None of the managerial staff approached me to see if I was okay or whatever. My entree (if one could use such a word loosely) stuffed capon was surely a slice of deli turkey breast wrapped around something they called stuffing.
The meat was dry as anything on the end leading me to believe it had been placed under a heating lamp for an extended period of time. The was also five pieces of broccoli on the plate. That was the entire entree - no potato or rice. Dessert was a horrible piece of "pecan pie" - could only find three or four tiny pieces of pecan on the very slim slice. Never again, believe me, never again.
Came for mothers day buffet, was supposed to have a carving station of prime rib, roasted pork, glazed ham,had prime rib only with meduim rare. said assorted pototes another misrepresentation some sliced thin black with a dried white sauce. Waitress took 3 trips to get drink order right and 15 minutes, never once came back and ask if we needed anything. The dessart bar was empty, The food was cold and not at all what was adveritised and the real slap was the waitress added a 18% tip on the bill! wow for bad service over priced cold not at all advertised food. The room was sit where you had to as a parton to move before you could. The worst part I cancelled reservations at the Edison Inn for the fogcutter, NEVER NEVER AGAIN.
Okay the owner has the real estatelocation. The restaurant overlooks the Blue water Bridge......as far as the food.........well lets just say its some low grade quility for a suppossed white table cloth restaurant........prices are WAY to high for the quality of food we were served.

I would disagree. I have never had anything but great food and service at the Fogcutter. I attended a wedding reception there late last summer (friends of mine got married on the lake and then had a reception there), talk about top notch and first class. I would highly recommed this place to anyone for any occasion.
