| About: | A whole new approach to dining, Mongolian Barbeque gives you no one to blame for a bad meal except yourself. Diners select their own meats, stir-fry vegetables, sauces and spices. Grillers throw the meals onto a huge circular griddle and use large wooden sticks to slice and dice. The best grillers are also comic performance artists, cracking jokes and performing magic feats. The stir-fries are served with tortillas and rice, and a huge salad and soup bar are also available. This adventurous approach to dining has become enormously popular. The Royal Oak eatery is the flagship of an empire that has expanded to 22 locations in seven states. |

My friends invited me to this place the other night and while getting directions I saw the review below and got a little grossed out to say the least. I went anyway and was fortunately surprised. I "inspected" the plates and silverware and they couldn't have been cleaner! The food was very delicious and I even ordered dessert, the chocolate mousse, which was heavenly. Our waiter was also really nice. I'd go there again any time.
Just awful. All of the plates, bowls and sauce cups were filthy, and covered in old food. The grill was not working, so our food was taken to the back and prepared in a wok. Then when we sat down and unwrapped the silverware, surprise, also covered in old food. Anyone say botulism?
I love this place! I pick out my own food and watch the griller's cook and joke with me. I have been coming here for quite a few years now.
The prices have gone up since I started going there, but the food is great and the staff is wonderful as always. I love their t-shirts that are on sale, too.
