User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe had our Daughter's first Birthday party here and I have to say the food was great, the only thing I did not like about the dinner is that the servers keep taking the plates in front of you and you can't even enjoy your dinner . Everything was a perfect 10 !

Security is terrible at the wedding reception we attended. I would definately not return to this location - especially with small children. There was a situation caused by another party that was not handled well by the hall. Thankfully there was quick reaction by several men in our party to get the police on site to handle the issue. The security guard on staff did nothing to secure the site or the guests. I am just thankful that no one got hurt in the midst of all the fighting. From what we were told this is a regular occurance at this location. You would think that they would be better prepared!!!

The food was good. The service was good. The noise from the live band in the hall next to ours was ridiculous. When we asked the management to have them turn it down on several occasions we were told to turn our music louder. This caused many of our guests to leave early. During the dinner we could not hear our dinner music over the noise from next door. I would recommend paying more and going somewhere else.

I use to work there from 2002-2006 and it was management that pressured the servers to clean up fast. It use to bother me to do that but the managers just wanted to see the servers working consistantly.
The owner of the Barrister Gardens also is the owner of the Palazzo Grande in Shelby Twp. Let me tell you something. I work at the Palazzo and working for Jimmy Lahood is terrible. I was sent to Barrister and the place is wreck in the kitchen not to mention that everything used there is ancient and should be replaced. I feel bad for Dominic Belcastro for partnering with Jimmy at the Palazzo.
