Okay - since no one else is brave enough to mention this then I will...yes the food is tasty - but if you knew how filthy the kitchen is there - I guarantee you wouldnât eat there. While I know every restaurant has bugs, mice, etc - I can tell you b/c I worked there and it's really, really dirty.
I once witnessed a manager repeatedly apologize to patrons and have to "comp" a table's check because a roach crawled right across the table while there were sitting there at their booth. I've killed many a roach on the floor while hustling thru the kitchen trying to bring you your food.
Also - they have been reported on several local TV stations "Dirty Dozen" restaurants and have be fined and asked to clean it up...hopefully they have..... 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love Redcoat Tavern. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is excellent, and I think Redcoat has the best hamburgers in Michigan. The menu has a variety of entrees, something for everyone. I've never been disappointed and I've been going to Redcoat Tavern since 2002.
