You get it all for one price!: Dined here many times over the past 20+ years. Always had a great meal with soup, salad, relish entree and multiple side dishes included in the meal price. Always noted that on occasion I had Shrimp Bisque or a top notch Minestrone Soup that would be hard to find at another restaurant without being charged for. On the night I dined Asiago Whipped Potatos was a nice touch while there were three other sides to choose from. Whether its Prime Rib, Steaks, Seafood, or Veal the items are served natural without all the automatic salt and seasonings applied to almost all dishes at all chain steakhouses. Nice variety of daily specials that include the home cooked style. Oh ya, and I had a Prime Rib Dinner for $12.95 through a promo that they frequently run in the local paper.
Go to Outback!: I am surprised they don't charge you for walking in the door! They charge you extra for a baked potato, extra for Blue Cheese Dresssing... and for what! Their food is not as good as Out Back but they charge as much. Texas is way better and cost less.
I don't know what the owner's priority is. I think they have an established clientel and don't want to attract new business.
I had their prime rib which is suppose to be their claim to fame... it was okay but Texas is better and costs less.
They want $ 3.95 for a baked potatoe with cheese and bacon bits... $ 1.75 more for baked over fries or mashed.
We were there last Sunday, I waited a week before I wrote this cause I wanted to see if i felt the same way a week later. I do!!!
Avoid this place at all costs unless money and quality mean nothing to you.
Steakhouses: OK, we've got our Outbacks, Texas Roadhouses, Lone Stars etc....B-U-T
THIS is the place to go when you want THE BEST piece of beef ever, whether the Filet or the Prime RIB.
I'm really not knocking any of the above mentioned establishments, as they are good. I am saying that if you want the Major Leagues, Prime Time is Comerica Park as far as I'm concerned and the rest are waiting, hoping to be called to the "Show".
