User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsMy family and I visited Mon Jin Lau Friday, November 6, 2009 and we had a 7:30 reservation. Our reservation was confirmed but something beyond our imagination happened. It was very apparent that the color of our skin caused us to be treated like second class citizens. They made us wait as if we did not have reservations and the couple behind us was seated without hesitation (no reservation). We promptly left. So sad,it still happens and your restaurant has movie stars as guests. You should be ashamed!!!!

the tip is amazingly BIG!

thats 5 a person!
a standard, fairly generous tip goes for about 1 (or 2) per person.
but 5 is just straight up outragous.
all in all,
its alright food,
but the price is just aint right.-

I've been patronizing this place for almost 20 yrs. They were very good in years past, but the last 5 years they've slipped something terrible. They're getting too cheap on the portions, ingredients and little things! Last time there: 2 people, 2 dinners, 2 glasses of wine and desert $115. Outrageous!
Come on Marco, get your act together man!

You've obviously never worked in a service industry. A tip is not based upon the number of diners, but on a percentage of the bill. Fifteen to twenty percent is customary.
