I don't know about "witty"...I would use the word "RUDE". My first time there I asked for a mixed drink. The bartender was gruff to me and said he didn't sell mixed drinks. My friend with me asked for a beer and he was given the same treatment. He was told to go get his beer out of the cooler. Yes, WAY TOO SMOKY!!! cool sign outside though....This place looks like Homer Simpson's local pub...lol!!!
