Of the two main brewpubs downtown, Arbor Brewing possibly has the better beer but The Grizz has the food, hands down, and the brews are nothing to be ashamed of. The cheese-ale soup is top-notch, the Michigan Cherry salad is addictive, the burgers are amazing, and the specials, well, I had this amazing corn-seafood chowder thing last week that knocked my socks off.
Good food, good beer, great atmosphere.
Some of my friends were in from out of town and having never been to this restaurant and hearing good things about it we checked it out. Fortunately there was no wait because of a snow storm and we were seated immediately. We tried different samples of their beer from irish reds to hints of chocolate. The burgers and beer were top notch and complimented each other in true pub like fashion. I will be back.
Great place to eat or drink. Can't the beer prices after 10.
