User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHappy happy eating! I really appreciate the service and food here considering everything. I had Crispy Duck which was highly recommended by a friend in Ypsilanti. My partner had the special Scallops. Both are delicious. The duck is crispy and really good with the tangy tamarind sauce. The scallop was spicy enough to get tears but still very tasty.
Be back next year Art Fairs!!!-

I tried to stop in Tuptim Thai one day after classes (about 2:00p.m.) and was told by the hostess to 'hurry up and order because the cook was leaving'. WTF? I turned around and left. Still craving Thai food the next day, my husband stopped in sometime around 3:00 and the doors were locked! I don't care how great the food is raved to be: by those two instances I will never spend my money there. If I want Thai food I travel up the road to Siam Square instead.

Okay, I'll give you that the Shrimp Pad Thai was good (I tasted my friend's) but there is a limited curry and a limited vegetarian menu. I got a Shrimp curry that was good-ish, but a small portion and it wasn't really what I'd gone in there to get (many standard dishes seem to be missing from this menu.) Also, I was sad to find they only offer steamed, not fried, tofu. The Summer rolls were a HUGE disappointment (there was no texture as they used leafy green mix instead of shredded iceberg with basil, also no peanut dipping sauce.) The service was very slow. I can't believe how everyone raves about this place-- I was really excited to go try it out. If I could, I would prefer to give it 2-1/2 stars, but can't muster enough to round up to 3, so 2 it is.

You know they close at 2.00 and what the heck you go back there at 3.00!!!
I totally agree with wonderwhy. Could you please tell me why make you think you can go back there at 3:00PM during their lunch break and then carry out??????????xcontinuing......
