I have given my pharmaceutical business to Wenk's for years, because I believe in supporting local businesses. However, I have had numerous difficulties dealing with Wenk's. Some pharmacists have been difficult to deal with (though the worst are no longer there). EVERY time I go there, they are unable to process my debit card, even though many other businesses in the area have no problem with it. The latest problem is that they cannot dispense one of my medications, as it is a controlled substance and they have lost the clearance to dispense them. I took a written prescription for this drug in, and the head pharmacist would not give it back to me (I later learned that this is not legal) but insisted that I have another pharmacy call him for the information. I suppose he thinks that this will keep me coming back to Wenk's (holding it hostage), but it has backfired. I HAVE TRANSFERRED ALL OF MY PRESCRIPTIONS TO ANOTHER PHARMACY.
The condescending and utter snobbery of it's staff only made me sicker. They have an intrinsic problem within thier staff that gels out into thier cramped waiting area. Stifling and ignonomous the atmosphere is anything but curative. Try sitting around the corner of the pharmicist's bench and listen to the simple minded arrogant conversation.
I beleive they have gone out of business and sold off to Clark Pharmacy on Clark road across from St. Joe s hospital. I heard the owner was caught selling narcotics illegally on-line.
