We had a large group - ten of us. We ordered drinks and a variety of appetizers. We had squid, and other seafood. Very well prepared. Then everyone ordered a different meal.
Service was good considering that most of the ordered meals were prepared fresh, and tasted very good. We had no room for desserts as the portions were very generous.
I would recommend this place but only if you can spare an hour and a half for lunch.
Ok...I have to comment...They have the BEST pizza and bread. I used to like their food butthey got a new cook. Service is extremely slow but it is a restaurant and not fast food.
I will comment on the owner (the owners son) and how he handles complaints...not very well. We used to go there once a week for about 2 years...never complained...then we got a bad meal...I complained and all he did was say sorry new cook. He could have offered us a different dinner or picked up the tab...we did go there weekly for 2 years...that is when we stopped going as much.
We order carryout pizza all the time but I do no recommend the food anymore. And by the way...I am 1st generation Italian. You can get better food at home or at Antonios in Canton...they are awesome...same owners...go figure!
Roman Village has to be by far the best Italian restaurant in the metro detroit area.
