Company Information: Expanded due to its current popularity, La Shish now has more room for diners, but the decor is still as intimate as ever. The food is bounteous and tasty, with large appetizers of hummus, tabbouli, and baba ganoosh. There are huge plates of shish tawook and chicken shawarma; excursions into less well-known fare like majadarah and gaballah. Add a fresh drink from the juice bar, and you'll be stuffed. Expect an informal but authentic Middle Eastern dining experience, with raucous chatter in many tongues and indifferent service. Additional locations have sprung up in Dearborn and Warren, but this is still the hub of the empire.

i am very sad that this place closed since the owner was very shady. i went here with my mom, sister and boyfriend. i think the one in ypsilanti is still open since it was bought by someone else not affiliated with the original owner. my boyfriend is not from the detroit area and he loved it too. so if a white boy and his white girlfriend love it so can you.
I live in Chicago and found this restaurant on route to Clinton Township.
It has the most fresh and tasty food I've hand anywhere in the midwest including Chicago.
We ordered 5 different things and all were perfect.
No matter what I ord...: No matter what I order, everything just tastes perfect.
