User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsFood was very good. Waiter was good but had incident with manager that completely turned me off to the place and won't ever come back. Ordered $60 worth of food for the 6 of us in our family including 2 all you can eat rib dinners. Gave a rib to my wife and my 8 year old daughter and the manager came over and said that we won't be brought anymore ribs because we shared. Sad thing was that my daughter had completely finished her meal and I wasn't getting any more ribs anyway but my son who had not shared any of his, could no longer get what he paid for. Told the waiter about the situation and explained to him that his tip would be affected and that he should get the difference from the manager. He was so mad that he never came back to the table and had the bartender take care of us the rest of the time we were there. My bill was for $60 and some how when they went to charge my card it was for
$72. Seemed kind of strange that 20% was mysteriously added to my bill and it really looked like they tried to add the tip to my bill. I spoke to the bartender about it and she blamed the "crazy computer" and fixed it. Was having a good time with the family, which we don't get very often with my son in college so it was even more disappointing. What makes this whole thing all the more laughable is that the manager was apparently so busy watching us share a couple of ribs, someone had walked out without paying their bill. Now that is a manager I want working for me.

User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsPretty good: I love Applebee's, I go there all the time. They have a lot of variety, and they are very child-friendly. I love their food and their service is pretty good. I would say I get good service about 3 times out of 5. If you get stuck with really bad service though, the manager will usually try to compensate.
