User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have enjoyed Godiva chocolates and chocolates from France and Germany for years...and now I am glad to say that another company has the absolute best chocolates anywhere...in the United States!! ....It is the Corden company in Dearborn Michigan...I would consider us as not biased and careful in our praise, but these are wonderful.
Each handmade chocolate is just perfect...I would associate it to a fine wine...great taste - well priced and absolutely the best ever. Don't hesitate to contact them...and I am not connected with them in any way.

OMIGOD! I was in love from the first bite, I could hardly drive, all I wanted to do was lean back and only on the melting delight of really great chocolate.
It's as good as Sander's chocolate was back in the 60's. Not too sweet, no funny artificial taste, no after taste, no grit, none of the things we have come to accept in what passes for chocolate these days.
The Grand Marnier Truffle is to die for. It's so good, you get satisfied with just one piece! Imagine, just one truffle and you get totally satisfied.
You have got to try the Long Stemmed Rum Cherries, like nothing you have ever tried before.
The store is spacious and friendly, you can browse comfortably. It's like stepping back into a time when shopping was a pleasure and not a chore.
I could have done all my Christmas shopping right there.
It truly the best unplanned stop I have ever made. I just happened to be passing by and noticed that they were open.
I remembered the name from my childhood, it was something special to get a box of Corden's candy.
If you love chocolate, if you've about given up on finding any that was worth buying, if you want the treat of your life, you have make the trip to Corden's on Michigan Ave.

This is the best candy you will ever have! They have been in business for 90 years-not 50 like mentioned in other review. SO to the last person that implies that they can't sell a million dollars worth of "CANDY" a year- implying that it is some some of "front"-shame on you! THe reason that they are only open a few months out of the year is because the owners are much older-well into their 70's maybe 80's and it is just not profitable to stay opn through the summer months. The reason they are able to open during those months are b/c of people like me and my family-who have been going there for 40 years and look forward to September when they open.It's clean and honestly run-not like most of the other junk businesses on Michigan Ave. in Inkster. It is a wonderful place, great candy, great people-everything is fresh and made by 1 man. You will not be disappointed!
