Years ago it was a great place however every since the new owners/management took over a while back everything about it SUCKS! I personally think that they are rude, there place is dark, gloomy, old and has an awful smell. Flies are flying around when you are eating and because they are more costly, it makes for a miserable evening out with friends or family. I have also heard rumors of them closing the place down, is this true? Does anyone know? Well, if so, Good! They ought to close down, they treat their customers, and their employees like crap and truly they are no longer a "family" oriented place like they used to be. The original owners were wonderful! And mama Clemente would be disgusted if she were alive today. God rest her soul!
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIf you'd like a nice, pleasant place to go for a good meal then don't go to Clemente's. I live close by and I have eaten there many, many times over the years. The pizza use to be very good as was the fish dinners. But for quite a while now, the place is going downhill quite rapidly. A few of the loudmouth regulars constantly ruin the atmosphere(?) for so many others. They even upset some of the employees. I have seen the disturbance they create drive people right out of the place. Myself included. The management is totally aware of the complete situation and refuses to do anything about it. More than likely because most of the people causing the problems there have their butts so firmly rooted on the same bar stools where they always sit. They would rather sacrifice the comfort and quiet of the rest of the patrons, for whatever revenue these regulars consistently bring in. Is that any way to run a business? Is that fair to the rest of the people and families that go there for a nice night out? The rumor going around town is that Clemente's is not long for this world anyway. It's so sad because the food,service and atmosphere use to be very good. But today, you would see that the world has passed Clemente's on by. It could use a face lift on the inside with some more modern fixtures such as some flat screen TV's, etc. I more than likely will not be going back there anytime soon if at all.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWe moved into our home last summer and live a block away from Clemente's. Everyone raved about how great the food was. It was very average. I've had much better.

I completely and totally agree. The place should be closed if the management continues to cater to just a few certain regulars. I feel sorry for some of the employees, because there are some good people there. You are also correct about the insect problem. It is not a new problem. There are a couple type of barflies in Clemente's. The ones that don't fly around and land on your food sometimes, have their butts firmly planted on the same bar stools nearly every single day. They apparently feel that this gives them the right to be loud and obnoxious at any given time, no matter if they are told about it or not. Even by the management. The world has passed Clemente's on by. What a shame. Rumor has it, it will close in September.
