Dr. Frye is great. He literally saved my dogs life.Really long story short I have a greyhound who stopped eating after his lip swelled up. We were thinking allergic reaction. We took him to a different vet first. They gave us steroids and antibiotics and a day or so later the dog seemed better. A couple days after that he was worse then before. We took him back to the same vet. One of their suggestions was we relinquish custody because we couldn't afford the 1500-2000 dollar surgery they suggested. We said no and they shot him up with bupremex and gave hm fentinol patches for the pain and gave us some liquid food to squirt into his mouth to see if that helped. After no real improvement in 48 hours we took him to Dr. Frye for a 2nd opinion. Within minutes Dr. Frye diagnosed the problem. The dog had a neck injury which the first vet could have diagnosed had they actually checked the dog. I doubt I will take my dogs anywhere else. Dr Frye is extremely knowledgeable even about rarer breeds like greyhounds. I will gladly drive 30 minutes to take my dogs there.
To make things even better he has one of those hairless cats (ya know like Mr. Bigglesworth from the Austin Powers movies) who is just adorable and crawls right up in your lap.
Dr. Frye is very professional and no less than amazing. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for keeping our "family" together.
Thank you Dr. Frye!
Dr. Frye is AMAZING! And better yet, his staff is AMAZING! I would never think of taking my pets anywhere else. In 2006 we had to put our golden down due to cancer. Dr. Frye explained the procedure and stayed right by our side the whole time. Then in 2008 we had to let our lab go due to old age. Again, Dr. Frye was right there. He was so caring, understanding and professional. I love everyone at the Milan Area Animal Hospital. They treat you like family and are so very happy to see you each and every time you come in.
Our dog HATES going to the vet and is uneasy around men he hasn't met before. Dr. Frye was really great - he actually slid down the wall and sat on the floor, waiting for Dudley to come over to him. Dudley sniffed him then cuddled right up! Dr. Frye stayed where he was and examined him that way. It was SUCH a different experience than the other place I went... where they muzzled Dudley because he wasn't "cooperating" while they were sticking needles into him (DUH), he was sliding around on a stainless steel table 3' off the floor, and told me I needed to get him better trained!!

I agree Shannon. Dr. Frye has amazing "kennel side" manners!
