When our first Golden Corral restaurant opened in Fayetteville, NC back in 1973, a fledgling Golden Corral Corporation took a confident first step into the restaurant business. From day one, we established the tradition of friendly service, great value and fresh, tasty food. Golden Corral family-style restaurants specialize in the biggest and best buffet available anywhere. Our famous Golden Choice Buffet contains an array of hot meat options, as well as pasta, pizza, fresh vegetable choices, and a selection of carved meats at dinner and on Sundays. We offer tempting baked goods from The Brass Bell Bakery, our famous in-house bakery. Piping hot yeast rolls, muffins, yummy cookies and brownies are baked fresh every fifteen minutes! And talk about a difference! Check out our Steak menu. All our steaks are USDA inspected and are grilled to order. They're always cut fresh daily, for better flavor, juiciness and doneness. Plus we offer a variety of delicious chicken and seafood entrees. At Golden Corral restaurants, our goal of pleasing each and every guest is made possible through the dedicated efforts of our caring and knowledgeable Co-workers. Since the beginning, they have been preparing and serving the highest quality food at reasonable prices in a clean, friendly atmosphere... thereby fulfilling the Golden Corral pledge: "Making Pleasurable Dining Affordable"
My husband and I tried this out once and were not too pleased. Several months later we decided to give it another try...never again. We waited in line outside the door, only to have groups of people excuse themselves thru the line to a big group waiting up ahead!! We also noticed "several" entering thru the exit door!! Not one word was said to any of them.....and it is clearly posted that this is not allowed. Way too crowded, felt like we were sitting on top of each other. I also agree, surprised this place is still open, very bad management!!

I WAS SURPRISED to find such truthful reviews of Westland, Michigan Golden Corral. My wife & I went a few times when it first opened. We saw the commercials & decided to try it out. The first time we found it uncomfortable because so crowded. The dinning room staff was O.K. but overwhelmed. We figured out a good time to go - about 3pm. The first three months it was O.K. & worth it, especially since the total price was just over $5.00. Then, there were changes in the help. The grill cooks were the chief problem . The Corral started hiring a different sort of Black male help and they were clearly racist. The grill cooks told Non-Black customers the popular meats were not done yet only to turn around and give them to Black customers--right in front of the non-black customers! This is a serious management problem. Management is so incompetent that the cooks do as they please, the floors are dirty, plates & beverage refills come late & some people claimed they got sick after eating meat at the Corral. I saw a Churches Chicken crash within one year of opening- in Ypsilanti for similar reasons, a Black staff that openly second-class treated non-black customers. The problem is Ypsilanti is 85% non-Black. Over 75% of Corral Customers are white, Hispanic, & Asian. Wake up Manager! It's always incompetent management when inappropriate employees staff a business.
I call the treatment racial because we are not white. We are Eurasian & Hispanic. Frankly, I'm surprised Westland Corral is still in business. We were going to try the place again, after a few years of avoiding it, due to the seafood buffet, but definitely not after reading the comments here.
