Problem resolved. It took awhile but it appears that issues and misunderstandings and miscommunications have been addressed.
Hearthside Fireplace does NOT put the costumer first. I went to the store and bought an electric fireplace. A month later I lost the remote control that came with the unit. I tried to order one online through the manufacturer but was unable and had to go through the dealer which is Hearthside. I drove to Hearthside but the clerk at the store said I she didn't know how to order me a new one and I would have to call back and talk to the owner. I called the next day and the owner said he could order me a new one but I would have to come in the store. He would not order one for me over the phone even if I gave him my credit card number. So I drove to the store again and this time the owner called the manufacturer to order me a new one. After getting off the phone he was unsure if the manufacturer could get a replacement for me. The owner then insisted on charging me for the remote so that if he was able to order me one he would go ahead do it. I asked him how much the remote was and he said he did not know but wanted to charge me $25.00 anyways. I let him charge my credit card and I left the store frustrated. I received a call from the owner the next day informing me he was able to order the remote and that it would be in on a Tuesday. I went to the store to pick up the remote on Wednesday and was disappointed to learn the remote had not yet arrived. I called again on Friday and the owner did confirm that the remote had arrived. I went to the store and picked up the remote that day. I asked the owner how much it cost and he said that we were "all good". I have no idea what "all good" means other than he probably cheated me out of some money! I will never go to Hearthside again!!!
