I have seen some of the bad reviews saying meat is bad or whatever...maybe you didnt vacuum seal it correctly or something. I have never EVER had a problem here. Yes, the workers arent the epitomy of customer service but quality of food isn't lacking here. I am basically the worlds greatest example of a carnivore...all eat is meat. Burger, steak, chicken...Only bought burger and steak here though and where else can you go and get Delmonico's, Rib-eyes, T-bones and NY Strip for $5.49 - $5.99 per pound? ON SALE at Kroger, Rib-eyes are like $8.99 - $10.99/lb and they dont even carry Delmonico's which if you know your steaks, you know this one is one of the most flavorful ones. Dont worry about going here...you will be more than satisfied. And if yuo have a problem, do what the other reviewer suggested and talk to them about it! Cattlemans RULES!
we go there every time for are meat the people are not very friendly but the meat is good an the prices are to
I lost my first review, so I'm trying again.
Shop Cattlemen's at your own risk. My husband and I went there a few weeks ago, our first visit. We bought the cheapest meat bundle, for 89.90. After dividing the meat into our own personal bundles and sealing the meat in Food Saver vacuum bags, we froze all the meat in our chest freezer. Why am I mentioning this? Because every single meat item we've had for dinner in the past week and a half has TASTED BAD.
My husband cooked bacon for breakfast (a substitution for chicken wings, which we don't like) and I had to spit out the bacon because it was RANCID! The bacon had been vacuum sealed.
I added hamburger to spaghetti sauce and the hamburger had a bad taste to it as well. The chicken legs were fried for another dinner and the chicken had a bad taste as well! No one in my family would eat the chicken.
I still have a chest freezer half full of Cattlemen's meat and every time I select some meat for dinner, I wonder if the meat will be any good.
My husband and I will not be returning to Cattlemen's Meats. We will go back to buying our meat from Sam's Club. We've never had bad meat from Sam's, even though the price is somewhat more expensive.
I would not have given Cattlemen's Meat a star, as iMO, it doesn't deserve one.

That had to be a fluke, and you could have called and told them you were dissatisfied, I have been shopping there for years and only had a problem 1 time and they did everything they could to make me happy, and gave me money for gas, (I live quit a distance. so call them if you have a problem, I bye there bundles all the time.
I'm very surprised as well, this must have been a fluke. I only buy my meat at Cattlemen's because it is so fresh.
Amazingly bad luck that ALL the meat would be bad. Did you allow the meat to thaw for a week before transferring it to new packages? Is your freezer plugged in? Is the electricity turned on at your house?
