Growing up in Detroit, my dad cooked a lot of ribs in the backyard and was considered the best barbeque cook of all the family and friends. Actually he could throw down. BUT baby let me tell you, Vickies cooks the kind of ribs that leave you always wanting moreand hurting yourself to eat the last bite at the same time. Served traditional style in sauce w/sides of baked beans, cole slaw and white bread. Yes! White bread, the only time I eat it these days. I just wrap a piece around a bone, slather it in the saunce and lean back---ummm! The sauce is so good you could drink it. I HIGLY recommend Vickies to anyone who really loves barbeque! Carry out only and go before you get really hungry, you may have a 15 or 20 minute wait. Also, they don't take debit cards/visa so bring your cash. You won't be disappointed. P.S. Shrimp is excellent too and get the sauce on the fries!!!
Vickies BBQ is the best in the city I have been a customer for many years. If I don't cook my own ribs then I have to get the food from Vickies. This is old school good!!
