WOW......Job well done!
Stopped in at Alvin's the other day and was pleasingly surprised. When we arrived the new owner was stoking the newly installed fireplace in the front of the place. We popped a squat in their comfy leather chairs close to the fireplace only to find out that it was Happy Hour. Boy what Happy Hours they where. Our original plans where to " stop in and check it out" 6 hours later with minimal expense we had one of the best times in a long time. We started out with $1.50 PBR's and a basket of their free popcorn and evolved into a lot more beers (what a selection) and a wonderful dinner. I had the Tuscany Panni while my friend had the shrimp wings. I must say that the food was wonderful and priced right. In fact the shrimp where so good we took an order to go.
After dinner we decided to check the rest of the place out. For all of those who have been to Alvins before....you won't believe your eyes. The decor is definitely music oriented and tastefully done. Stage is still in tact and the all glass garage door on the front of the place is over the top!. We cannot wait for summer to get here because we will definitely be hanging out.
Oh ya one more thing. Even though we had to truck up a flight of stairs to utilize the bathrooms they are new and super clean! In fact my girls comment when she came back from the bathroom was " I think that is the first time I have ever sat down to use the bathroom here". :-) :-)

recently stopped in for a late lunch. Happy to find vegetarian items and it just happened to be happy hour. What a nice find. certainly be back.

Alvin's re-opened with new owners and still has great bands! The atmosphere is awesome and the food is great too! Check it out once again!
