I have been going to Dr Moss for 5 years, and love him as my family eye doctor. Both me, my husband, and my daughter wear glasses. I think he is a great doctor but I stopped purchasing my glasses there because you have to buy the frame right off the shelf. They do not have trials or demo frames for you to try on, the frame you try on is the frame your buying. The frame my daughter choose was damaged, so I asked them to order a new one. They then explained if I wanted a new frame, they would have to order it and I would have to pay the 15$ shipping charge. I refused to pay the cost and asked for my money back; after going back and forth they did decide to pay the shipping charge. I don't like the idea that they do not tell you that your purchasing a "used" frame either. When I suggested that the frames were used, she corrected me; however, if a frame has been tried on countless times and is possibly adjusted each time another person tries them on, they are "used" and could have possible damage or weak spots.
They did explain that they get new inventory all the time, but only a small selection is new. Some of those frames have been sitting there for a long time!
I still go see Dr. Moss for my eye care, but then I take the prescription to another place to purchase the glasses!
I would give 5 stars to Dr Moss and 2 stars to the place, so I gave a 3 star rating.
I have been seeing Dr. Moss since 2001, and I have always received good eye care. It is obvious that he takes an interest in his patients, and his "bedside manner" is comforting and sincere. My exams have all been thorough, I have never felt rushed, and the employees are all clearly competent. I would recommend him to anyone.
my family and I have been going to doctor Moss for 4 years now and we have almost always had a great experience. Dr. Moss is always wonderful. I have been annoyed once or twice by his staff but that was early on and I haven't had any issues in a long while. The office is accomodating and helpful.
