Me and my boyfrriend went on a friday. We got there at 8, but any time would be cool. The mood was set to be very romantic. The booths were little and your tabel was lit by candel light. It took a while for the food to get there but it was worth the wait. The food was excelent. The best soul food I had in a while. The live music was great. All races and agss were welcome. This was a perfect date place. I will go again. Oh and bring cash, $3 to park and $5 to get in. Drinks are pricey.
The food(grilled chicken salad) there was perfect the waitress were very nice the entertainment was priceless i had a very good time.
The very first time I was invited to go to Baker's, was in the early 80's, and that's where I saw Betty Carter perform, she was amazing I had a wonderful time the people, the atmosphere, it made you feel as if you were on Cheer's, but back in the 50's. I revisited Baker's in June 2008 and picked up where I left off, in the live music and the scene was the same, good food, good people, and good times.
