Stopped by the Detroit Beer Co last Friday before the Tiger's game as I was waiting for family to arrive downtown. Got there about 4:30pm and the place was a little dead, but it really picked up closer to game time. The wait staff did a great job and were attentive. I had the Detroit Red and some type of ESB beer. Didn't care for the ESB too much, but the Detroit Red was great. Ordered the nachos too, but they weren't that great. I think they left them in the broiler too long so they came out kind of dry and flat. However, the happy hour special was 50% of appetizers (which the nachos were part of) and $1 pints. My total bill for the nachos and three pints of beer was $16. I thought that was a great deal. If I would have had to pay full price for the nachos ($11), my opinion probably would have been lower in the value for quality though. Overall, great place and will definitely be back.
One of The Best Places to Watch the Game: I went To The Beer Company to watch a tigers playoff game, and man the crowd, the tv's the sounds was amazing. It was the best place i have been to watch a game other than the ball park. I deffently recomened grabing one of there great beers and weatching the game there. It bets going to one of those genaric places DownTown
Great for Drinking: The Detroit Beer company is a great spot to watch the game and have a few drinks. There menu on the other hand flaunts like it is decent quality and well prepared. Don't let the fancy ingredients foul you. Whomever is cooking is doing a horrible job. The dishes are bland at best. If you do eat here stick to the foods that cannot be messed up (burgers, appetizers, chicken fingers)
