| About: | The whimsical name alone should attract customers. Howe's Bayou is a new twist from the owners of Tom's Oyster Bar, emphasizing a Cajun atmosphere and menu to supplement the oysters and seafood. Cajun entrees include gumbo, okra, crawfish cake and etouffe. Besides great wines and bottled beers, the bar offers a choice of 30 Tennessee whiskeys and bourbons and appropriate mixed drinks such as Mint Juleps. You can even get a chocolate mud pie for dessert. Plunking New Orleans in the middle of suburbia works surprisingly wellthis is a popular and friendly place. |

Went Saturday evening with friends. Service....the worst. Waitress was very rude. Food... gross. Don't get the voodoo BBQ Shrimp. was waaay over cooked. Plates were dirty. Asked to see the manager... he could have cared less. Will not go back to over priced, gross foood place again. Magic Bag was fun though!!!!
OKAY I MUST START OFF BY TELLIN JORDAN--- You are really making them seem BAD and they are actually VERY GOOD!!!I WENT AND ENJOYED EVERYTHING that I ate!!!I had tha soup-- GREAT!!!The pasta--- GREAT!!!Matter of fact me and the two other ladies I was with had the CHEF come out so that we could tell him how GREAT the food was!!EVERYBODY that gets a chance to get out to Ferndale SHOULD go and give them a TRY so that WE can SHOW JORDAN that he is-- WRONG!!!
Our bill was $50.00 and the food sucked!! Now I know why there is always a 10% off coupon in every paper on my doorstep. The spinach artichoke dip was extremely oily, I mean the artichokes were swimming in oil. My gf's margartia tasted like pacific ocean water with a hint of lime. Along with that she ordered a voodoo chicken salad it should be called a poopoo chicken salad because it was brown like sh*t and tasted the same. Oh and there famous sweet potatoe french fries..... take the sweet out and add grease and whala.....instant crap!!! Looked like fish bait. We were very disappointed! No flavor involved here at all. New Orleans style food is suppose to have a strong unique flavor this food is bland and straight up nasty. The only decent thing on the menu is the po' bo blackened catfish sandwich. DON'T EAT THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PISS YOUR DATE OFF!!!!
