I bought a used SUV for the winter. after I test drove it, I decided to buy it which seemed to not set well with my salesman. He wanted me to buy a new toyota even though I told him I needed this car for the winter months only and I didnt want a new car to sit in my garage for 10 months out of the year. Then he asked me if I was paying cash, I said yes and would go get the money from the bank, he proceeded to tell me that he could not hold the car, so I offered to pay for it on a credit card right then. He said oh no we can only take up to 3000.00 on a card, so I explained that I didnt have 10,000.00 cash on my person, so he said well you can leave a 500.00 deposit while you go get the money, I said okay, he then said, but we can still sell it if someone comes in while you are gone and wants to buy it. So I asked then why the deposit? he could only say, well its a rule. I still have not figured that one out. I did buy it and about a thousand feet outside of the dealership the brakes completely locked up to were the vehicle would not go forward, so in busy traffic I backed it into the business next door and walked over to tell them what happened, they did come and tow it back and fix it. they said it was a broken break shoe? they said they fixed it and replaced the brake drums in the back.. they did this all at no cost to me. 3 days later my check engine light comes on, I am taking it to the Mercedes dealership here by my house, and will keep my fingers crossed. So I guess one should be aware of this kind of stuff when dealing with this business, I made it a point to buy from a dealer because they had gone through the vehicle as I was told. Also the oil in 3 days is black, so I dont think they did an oil change as I was told either. I guess I will find all this out when I take it to the dealership here. I have never dealt with such a pressure salesman. I would have walked out but I had researched and this SUV was approx 1,500.00 cheaper then others on the internet same year, even more miles.

Get Your Details in Writing: Nice vehicle body, broke down in traffic a week or two after purchase. The people pushing the vehicle saw who NOT to buy from!! Repeated requests for written information regarding the vehicle ignored or verbally side stepped. Smooth sale but no follow up that you don't have to chase down yourself.
