User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsMene was never my number one choice as a Japanese restaurant even though we sometimes visited it. The food variety is good but the quality is only average. But the main reason I gave this place one star is for their service and decor. The first thing you notice is the awful smell as you enter the restaurant, interior decor that probably hasn't been updated in years. Carpeting is absolutely horrible. Even after you leave the place, the smell stays with you for at least an hour. The other big problem is their staff and management. They have the same waitresses working there for years and they still haven't learned how to be pleasant. There were occasions that food was simply dropped onto my table as I was a dog. One time they didn't pack carryout properly and the sauce spilled all over the clothes, shoes, and floor. On a couple of occasions I also noticed being charged higher amount on my credit card than authorized. Trying to rectify these situations with Mene management is pointless. They never want to admit it was their problem. Their excuse is "oh, well, accidents happen". Sure, but who will pay for my cleaning bill? Anyway, I've decided never to go to Mene again. There are better places in the neighborhood like Yotsuba just 1 mile down the road.

This is the WORST Sushi place in the world. The owner is a MEAN woman who is also a THEIF. She double debited my meal and when I brought it to her attention she said next time I come in she would give me a free california roll. My bill was $30 and she refused to give me a $30 cedit. I have also gotten VERY sick from this place. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! BTW...the owner also HATES children and has actually YELLED at my little girl and made her cry.

Same thing happened to us on 2 occasions. We noticed our bill was higher than what we authorized. I also agree that the staff and management are awful and never ever smile and bring your food to your table like you are a dog.
