I love love love Zenders Family style Chicken dinner. I have been going there for years... I especially love the liver pate and the cole slaw. Yum. I am getting hungry and must go there soon. I have never been disappointed in the food, nor the service. I love it all! Frankenmuth is a little get away from the city / burbs. Will be visiting soon, thats for sure.

We could not leave Frankenmuth without trying Zehnder's "World Famous Chicken Dinners" this past weekend. I am beside myself with dismay at how Zehnder's food received it's reputation. The food was horrible, the seating was horrible, and the price was horrible. The food was bland, from the noodle soup to the dressing and from the noodle dish to the dumplings; right on through to the boiled/fried chicken. The food may have came in different shapes and colors, however the taste from one dish to the next was the same. Bland, bland, bland. The famous "seasoning" that is on the table is little more than powdered chicken bullion.

The seating...if you don't mind dining less than 6 inches away from perfect strangers and having no privacy in regards to conversation...then this is the place for you. The entire back end of the "Main" dining room was open, however they sat us in between two other families having dinner. I was elbow to elbow with a perfect stranger.

The price...our family of 4 came out of Zehnder's with a bill just shy of $100.00 dollars. Save your money folks and eat at the Big Boy in Birch Run...the fried chicken is much better there. No kidding. When I spend $100.00 for a simple dinner, I am expecting for it to taste, at the very least good. This was a very poor dining experience.

WAY TO MUCH MONEY FOR "CHICKEN", not even as good as past years.
