i live in gaylord area and we have no meat market up here and i think that jacks should buy the old carters store and move a store up here. it would make a lot of business plus give people a place to work. i would go to jacks to buy most of my meat and groceries.
Great prices on fresh Michigan produce and meats. You can't get chicken this cheap and this fresh at the big places like Meijer .
Went to get some chicken breast and veggies. There was one other customer at the meat counter. The butcher (a rather portly gentleman) asked if there was anything I wanted at one end of the meat counter before he had to walk to the other end. When I asked that my chicken breast be split, he told me it would cost an extra 10 cents a pound. I'm thinking he needed the exercise, but I told him no thanks. Why do they price onions at 79 and 99, then when you get to the check out they just charge you 99 cents anyway? I'm thinking my future shopping will be at Meijer. No charge to cut your meat.

You can't put Meijer and Jack's in the same league. Jack's quality and customer service far outweigh the wait and hassle of going to Meijer to shop.
You can't place Jack's in the same league with Meijer. Fresher meats, better prices and a company who will go the extra mile for a customer is why Jack's is better.
