After reading the reviews, I optomistically made a reservation. The service and atmosphere good, but the food was terrible. The menu was fabulous, but lacking execution. Like big boy doing interesting dishes. Ingredients mostly right, but added disporportionately, resulting in a conflict. Canned pears and raw pecans on the house salad? How about fresh pears and carmelized pecans and a dab of gorgonzola? Oh, and the cheese and cherry dip appetizer? Lose it from the menu, unpalitable.

If I ever find myself in Mt. Pleasant again, I'll definitely return to the Brass Cafe. Forget the casino buffet -- this is where you want to eat. The food and service are top-notch.

As an added bonus, the menu is surprisingly vegetarian-friendly. And the prices are quite reasonable.

I went to this restaurant because their menu on their web site looked interesting (stuffed quail, chorizo stuffed chicken, and many different beers). For any foodies out there, stop be here for a great meal. The prices are pretty decent for a place with higher quality food.
