Family run business with great food at a great value. Lunch specials include soup and spring rolls go for $5-6. My favorite Thai restaurant in the EL area.

Thai Kitchen is consistently excellent. The food is really tasty, they have terrific value (lunch to go for $5 or so), the service is fine, and they give you plenty for leftovers. My personal favorites are Pai Pad Ped and Kang Kai, although the coconut fried rice is a strong third.

My only minor complaint is that the atmosphere in the restaurant itself is a bit lacking--it's certainly not unclean, but it's also not fancy by any stretch, so it's not a great first-date or client-lunch kind of place. But for any other occasion, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Best Thai food ever! Be sure to try the Mass-a-Mun Kai, A sumptuous arrangement of large pieces of chicken breast, potato and pinapple pieces in a wonderful mildly hot tamatind-coconut milk sauce. Lots of good food for VERY reasonable prices. Only complaint is that they're closed Sundays (bummer),.
