Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. I don't know how this place stays in bussiness, the meat on our taco's tasted like dogfood, no cheese on anything, the wait staff was more interested in there own conversation then waiting on customers. Taco Bell is 100 times better. If you want really good Mexican food go to Dearborn's Mexican Fiesta awesome food and good prices.
I just moved here and was asking some neighbors where to egt some good mexican food. One of my neighbors told me about Mexicalli's so we went there one night for dinner. I was surprised and shocked at how mean the waitress was. The food was o.k. but it was not worth the atmosphere I was subjected to. The decor was really cheesey and dirty. I was scared to eat my food. I will never go back there. WHen my wife and I have a craving we actually drive all the way down to Meican Town in Detroit and make a night of it! They are nice there and have great food. I think mexicalli found their waitstaff and decor in the Allie!
I LOVE authentic mexican food and this place tops my list and probably one of the best i've had in Michigan. I have to agree with the other review about the service hours. Generally speaking, the staff is great, but the hours of operations seem sporatic and they aren't very willing to bend the rules if you want something too close to closing. The problem is that we CRAVE the food, so now when I see the open sign on, I pull over immediately and run in!!! Well worth the wait. We have only dined in once, the decor and service inside are a little lacking, plus no margaritas, but we're perfectly happy doing takeout.
Unfortunately, we moved to Plymouth and I can't find anything remotely close and i've got a major craving...
