Great time at Claddagh's!: Oh wow. My husband and I went to Claddagh's Irish Pub in Lansing on a Friday night. It was packed and full to capacity. An hour and a half wait for a table was not in the cards for us, but we were happy to nab a spot at the bar which ment just moving through people to get there. Despite the full house the bar service was quick and efficent. After placing our order for a couple of black and tans, both hubby and I ordered the fish and chips. Hands down the best fish and chips I have had this side of the Pond. Of course they have a wonderful selection of Irish beers and whiskey and the other menu selections are just as tastey - or so my husband assures me.
All I know is that I am willing to drive an hour and a half with my girlfriends to go to luch there.
Great!!!!: We have been here for drinks in the past. We were able to get a table this time, and have dinner. Wow, we will surely be back again. Also, the Best Guinness I've ever had.
My second home: I would like to throw this out for any cigar or pipe aficionados. The bar is a cigar friendly place. They will offer you a proper cigar ash tray and cutter. If youre a novice they do have some overpriced light bodied cigars there you may purchase. I love this place. The food is well portioned yet elegant. I have had everything on the menu and so far I have not been disappointed. You have to go once just to see the atmosphere. Everything is authentic. If your there for lunch, sit at the bar and ask for Greg, best service ever.
