Do NOT use Goldsworthy's!! My thermostat went out on my car. We called Goldsworthys on Haynes loop dr in Hastings and had them tow the car so it didnt overheat and cause engine damage. When they took my car it was running great and just needed the thermostat replaced. Two days later, no word from them. We called for status, and they tell me the thermostat is in but the car is running really rough and asked if I had problems before. I told them NO, it was fine before they took it. They said they were running tests on it, which drained the battery, but as soon as it was charged they would continue the tests and would call me. They never called. I called them saturday and was told the guy doesnt work on saturday. Monday came and still no phone call. I called them late afternoon. They said they couldnt start my car at all today and the battery drained again from trying to start it. Said 2 cylinders on my car were not firing and they could not figure out why but they will keep trying. I decided to take it elsewhere for a second opinion so I went to Goldsworthys the next day to pay them for the thermostat and tell them someone else is picking up my car. They told me good luck, its not running right now, they have it apart checking the cylinders and have run every test they can think of and cannot figure it out. Said they checked the spark plugs etc and nothing seems to be wrong. They also informed me the car was in an accident at one time and it could be problems stemming back from the accident, that someone may have tried to put an additive in the radiator to cover something up and its just now clogging something up in the engine. I had Priority Collision pick up my car. They called me this morning to tell me they have my car running like a charm. When I asked what the problem was, he said the other place had the spark plug wires crossed. WTF!!!! Goldsworthys had it for ONE WEEK and couldnt figure out they connected the wires wrong!!
