Gull Rd. Walmart.
The good:
Nice deli/bakery section. Wide parking spaces so your car doesn't get 'dinged'. Good selection of frozen foods & dairy products. SOME checkout clerks are friendly. Good selection of most sporting goods. Clothing is very inexpensive. The in-store Subway is nice.
The bad:
Auto service 'write-up' personnel are rude & pushy. MOST 'associates' seem trashy, slow, & unfriendly. Produce is usually stale. Food product prices change almost daily (usually higher). Waiting in the Customer service line can be brutal. The 'greeters' are typically unfriendly lechers (especially one old man with a pockmarked complexion). Photo department has no chairs so customers have to stand while editing/ordering digital photo's. Most fresh meat & seafood looks inedible and old. No self-service lines so customers always have to deal with checkout clerks & long lines.
The skinny:
Compare prices between Gull Rd Meijer & Walmart before you purchase any 'big ticket' items.
Meijer has a better selection of foods but their prices can be as much as 50% higher than Walmart.
To be fair, 'associates' at BOTH Meijer AND Walmart need to learn manners and get happy because they have jobs & a paycheck.
At Meijer the customers are almost ALWAYS wrong...and the customer is the ENEMY.
Same is mostly true with the Walmart worker's attitudes.
Don't even get me going on Hardings Markets, they're the worst food stores in the area.
What the heck is going on with customer service these days ol Sam would roll over in his grave low prices wasn't the only thing that made walmart what it is today
i agree with the last review.. i just called this wal mart to see if they had seating cards for weddings. The girl (mandy) in vision was very nice and directed me to the main number. I asked the person at this main number if they had them and she xferred me to the Toy Dept. I told the guy i was not sure why they xferred me to Toys but i was looking for seating cards for weddings. He put me on hold for about 5 minutes before i hung up
