Every time I go through Delton I stop at Bowen's. We vacation there during the summer. This place has been owned and operated by the same family for at least 30 years. Their portions sizes are large and their prices remain reasonable and the food is consistant. The head cook drives a hearse and has been working their for at least 20 years. They also have 2-3 waitress's that have been there for quite some time.

The breakfast is great and they serve it all day! We go every Sunday for all you can eat Chicken or Virgina baked ham after church. I believe it is only $7.99. This year they added a salad bar, which is included with every dinner. Their daily specials and soups are homemade and delicious. I would highy recommend you stop by.

I must admit, I miss the old restaurant where you walked in and everybody knew your name! The new restaurant has some perks like non-smoking, and clean, large bathrooms. If you get Dar, Beth, or Robin to wait on you the service is still as good and thorough as the old days. To many teens are working there now that don't know what they are doing.

The food really hasn't changed with the new building which is good. Like most restaurants you frequent often you find the things you like and the things you don't. The "bird's nest" was something I ordered so frequently it wound up on the menu. They are good about letting you order substitutions and such.

They have a carrot cake that is to die for! I also really like their navy bean soup.

Unfortunately, with the new building has come an increase in prices everytime I turn around and I have found myself not eating there as often.

A friend of mine recommended I try the Angus Burger at the Grove Street Cafe a few months ago. Little did I realize the tremendous difference in taste between certified Angus beef versus regular hamburger. I'm hooked and have ordered Grove St's Angus almost everytime I've been there. Not only do I love the burger but the fixins that come with it and the service I receive is unbelievable.
