I took my all white 59/50 fitted baseball cap here to be cleaned. If you know anything about hats, you know that this is nearly a $40 hat. It was structurally in fantastic shape, but was fairly dirty as it was a hat that I wore quite a bit.

When I returned to pick up the hat I was upset to see that the integrity of the hat was completely ruined. The bill was bent and floppy whereas it had been straight and stiff when I dropped it off. Also, the area around the insignia on the front of the cap was shrunken up and had deep permanent wrinkles all over it, whereas it had been flat and smooth previous to this 'cleaning'.

Furthermore, the owner of the establishment and the woman at the front desk--presumably his wife--acted unprofessionally when I came in the next day to ask them about what happened to it. I brought in a picture of what the structure of the hat looked like when I had brought it to them, and the first thing he tells me is "I'm not paying for your hat". This was basically an admission that he knew it had been ruined. All the time the woman at the front desk was sitting there snickering and shaking her head at the situation.

The owner's defense of the situation was that "The hat [I] brought [him] was filthy". This is a seemingly poor defense, as the cleanliness of the hat is obviously the reason I brought the hat to him in the first place.

Anyways, I'm yet to get the hat back as the owner reluctantly said he would try to stiffen the hat up, but as far as I'm concerned the only way to rectify the situation is to reimburse me for the price of the hat. As this is obviously not going to happen, as previously stated by the owner, I have to say STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.
