Excellent Waitstaff-John was our server last evening and he did an excellent job.
Good Food-There were 8 in our party and everyone commented favorably on their individual dinners. Their mashed potatoes are by far the very best I have ever experienced, although my steak was a bit gristly, it had good flavor.
The Flat River Grill is definitely a plus for downtown Lowell.

Try the Patio !!!!: The Flat River Grill offers a great patio to eat out on. You have a beautiful view of the Lowell Showboat and the downtown area. Excellent atmosphere,awesome food !!!

The Gilmore Collection made an excellent choice!: Since having had an unpleasant experience at a previous Gilmore Collection restaurant, I was weary when seeing their stamp of approval on the menu. In leaving, I swore that I would write an excellent review of this restaurant since having been greatfully surprised. The menu was diverse and interesting and the food was fantastic in taste and presentation. Considering the day we dined was during the busy Lowell River Walk Festival, the service did not falter in the least. The atmosphere was nice considering our poor table location next to the server pick-up line. Although, this placement deemed us the hor de vour samplers...a nice consolation prize. The kitchen manager gave us a plate of items we would not normally have ordered that were succulent and masterfully flavorful. In it's entirety, The Flat River Grill is an A+ restaurant and very worthy of The Gilmore Collection.
