Ok, our experience here was like stepping into a Seinfeld episode.
"No refill for you!!" : )
The pizza was not all that great, my wife, a friend and I all agreed on this. It was burnt, greasy and just nothing special, yet many seem to rave about it.
The staff was rude and snobbish. They treated us not like a customer but rather a nuisance or like we should consider ourselves blessed and grateful to patronize this place.
I'm thinking Fricano's popularity is more of a local identity thing like Yesterdog, unique (for this area) with the illusion of being elite... rather than great food or atmosphere.
Or maybe we just don't get it?
A totally unique pizza... thin crust and good spices- YUMMY. Some of the staff here are rude, and I've had my fair share of burnt pizza's. Complained to Doug Fricano and he gave me a free pie. Said he would talk to the kids that work there. Still much better pie at the original hole in the wall in Grand Haven! Alpine location good too.
We love Fricano's. It's a thin crust pizza so each person can eat a whole pizza. That makes everyone happy because we can all get our favorite kind. The Pizza Primavera is my favorite. The flavor is fantastic! Also the staff is very friendly. The chairs in the dining room are wooden with no padding so they get a little uncomfortable after a while, but if that's a problem, you can always get your pizzas to go. Yum-yum!

Absolutely agree - I don't get it at all! Same exact experience, very limited selections and NO CHANGES! There are so many choices for good pizza at a reasonable price, made just the way you want it, and not even burned. - I am flabbergasted that this place still gets customers.
