They have the highest quality meats available. The new store has many more specility items to choose from as well. Staff is always very curtious.

After living in both Chicago and Las Vegas, this butcher shop is a godsend in Grand Haven. I pick up meat to grill from Frank's once or twice a week in the winter and three to five days a week in the summer. My wife and I are so spoiled by the quality of their cuts that we can no longer buy either beef or pork at a grocery store.

They have a small but unique deli counter that has both freshly made salads and an impressive variety of cheeses. I have particularly enjoy the whiskey cheese, and both the strawberry fluff and macaroni-ham pasta salad are favorite sides among my wife and son.

Frank's also has a very nice, albeit small, grocery selection. You can pick up ice cream, frozen seafood, limited fresh vegestables, beer, wine (nice selection), grains, marinades and rubs, and virtualy anything else you would want for well-rounded meal. While not a full service grocery, they do a remarkable job of stocking everything that one would want for a meal featuring their excellent meats as a main course.

It is obvious that this a family business--Frank's DNA is all over the place. It is also very obvious that they take great pride in this, promising a consistency to their customers that indicates that they fully understand that loyal customers are their livelihood; and there is no shortage of loyal customers. I only wish that there was an equally wonderful bakery, blacksmith, fish market, tailor, and barber in the same block so I could completely reject the "one-stop shopping megastore" culture into which we have evolved.
