I had lapsed insurance, police had the car towed. the next day i called to get the registration out of glove box for secretary of state. they refused and had already charged me twice, two days, when the car was there less than 12 hours. i went to the police department, showed them the proof of insurance and because the secretary of state was closed due to no electric there, and couldnt put my plate on vechicle, i had to have it towed to my sons residence, of course their tow truck. the officer on duty released my vehicle verbally to her at 4 p.m. the dispatcher argued with me again and then finally agreed to the release, where upon she said that i would pay for it first then be delivered. i had to meet her at wall greens all the way across town, pay her, where she informed me that it would be delivered that night or the next morning. by twelve noon the next day the car had not been delivered. when i called her and asked her what was happening she was again very rude, told me it was still morning. I told her it was twelve o nine. I then told her that i would meet them at the storage, get my towing fee back, and get my car. she refused,and said that i didnt have my plate, which i corrected her and said i had my hands on it. she agrued again with me and i informed her that the police released it and i was going back to the police dept. again that i was filing a complaint and i wanted my car back immediately. i had to go to work. she called me ridiculous, said she would have the car delivered to my work place. i hung up on her and went straight to the police where they again told her to release it. i finally got it from them 50 min. later. while the owners were very sorry, courtious and offered me a free service of towing, they really need to get rid of this women who thinks she is the nazi police. she will kill their business, their good name and will lose business. while the fault was mine for the lapse in insurance, there was no excuse for her treatment or rudeness. while i give them a thumbs up, their dispatcher should be terminated. she should not be allowed to deal with the public!
