   I had many occasions to watch Dr Shannon Hood provide care for my elderly mother. She was unfailingly respectful, knowledgable, and considerate throughout each encounter. I think Dr Hood is an excellent model as a family physician - patients of every age get her full attention and concern.

   I went for my routine physical that I have put off for three years. SHe talked with me for 30min. before even examining me. I have been along time client of Mercy but she is by far the most efficient and effective Dr. that actually cares and is concerned with your health. I have tried other Dr.'s/Hospitals in Des Moines area but I will return to see Dr. Hood. Thank you for proving that Dr.'s do care!!!

   Dr.Shannon Hood was amazing. It was in January of 2008, the wait was minimal and she took the time to listen and really cared that the medications prescribed would not be in conflict with nursing. Thanks Dr. Hood! ~
